Deep Practice Retreat - 29 May to 3 June
Join us at Craigieburn for this first-time retreat, focussed on developing your practice of Yuan Gong & Ren Xue.
The kaupapa of this retreat will be to develop your practice, in ways which you may not be able to achieve on your own.
The retreat will be silent throughout, & set in the beautiful mountains of the Craigieburn range, in early winter.
Talking is OK on the first evening (Friday 29 May) & then again on the final morning (Wednesday 3 June) - otherwise we will be as silent as possible to enhance the internal focus for us all.
Here are some more precise details:
- The venue is Craigieburn Environmental Education Centre, approximately 1.5 hours drive from Christchurch.
- Total attendees will be restricted to 12 to create an intimate atmosphere for all involved.
- Food - many options here - maybe DIY breakfast & lunch, & rostered evening meals. TBC.
- A rostered care system will be in place to ensure that anyone who needs to talk, has someone to go to. We envisage that 2 experienced teachers will provide this support each day.
- Minimum experience requirements - 2 years practice, current daily practice, knowledge/understanding of all Yuan Gong methods (with the exception of the 5th & 6th methods). No teaching of any of the methods is envisaged.
- There will be a base fee to cover accommodation & other expenses (approximately $150), with food costs being on top of this. Attendees will be also invited to make a koha to support the work of Qigong Christchurch. This is not intended as a profit-making event :-)
